Ambulance Service

‘Health is the greatest of all possessions; a pale cobbler is better than a sick king’ - is the universal motto which our institution has been trying materialize. For this reason we feel the urgency of an ambulance for the transportation of serious and sick people in times of trouble and danger. The ambulance service is going on superbly since 1999 in the hope of recovering the people as many as possible. Not only have the villagers of Rajbalhat taken advantage of this service But also its adjacent villages named Bilara, Antpur, Rashidpur, Rahimpur, Mirpur etc are so much benefitted from it. Though it is known to all that a single ambulance may not satisfy every patient in our locality but it is our hope that in the near future we should prosper in our mission overcoming the monetary difficulty which is the first and foremost obstacle in the path of progress. During the period between 2008-2009 we have rendered around 1000 trips to different places all over the state especially the hospitals of Jangipara (170 trips), Udaynarayanpur (140 trips), Kolkata including P.G.Kar, C.M.C., N.R.S.M.C., National M.C. Hospital etc(305 trips), Howrah (30), Bargachhiya (22), Tarakeswar (30), Srirampore (60), Arambag (46), Haripal (17), Chinsurah (3), Rishra (10), Chandannagar (8), Singur (8), Liluah (2), Burdwan (2), Bankura (1). Around one thousand patients have safely transported in different hospitals and Nursing homes in this period. But we are now in a trouble for the frequent increase of the price of petroleum and the parts of the vehicle.

Medical Camp

In order to fight against the various kinds of diseases our Cultural Circle arranges a ‘Medical Camp’ in every year. It’s all for the common people who have not sufficient money to check up themselves in the costly private medical centers. As for the requirements of the knowledge of modern kinds of diseases it is necessary to organize a medical camp in every year. So, we feel the urgency of it and it is our pride that we have been organizing it year after year successfully. The list of the activities are given below -
a) Blood Group testing
b) Sugar testing
c) Ultrasonography
d) Eye testing
e) ECG

These medical activities help the people in various ways. Many well known specialists in the medical era join in this camp in order to perform the camp faultlessly. One should remember that the whole testing program is done at a nominal cost. For blood group testing we demands from each of the patient Rs. 5/- and in considering the conditions of the few patients, we test their necessary physical testing with free of costs. So many people join this program for testing blood groups and initially we tell their groups. In case of ‘O -’ grouped person the doctor gives kind advices for the betterment of the future of that person. As we know that Blood Sugar rising is not an uncommon disease, enormous people gather here for their Blood Sugar test which is a frightful disease. The super talented doctors test the ultrasonography. The eye specialists examine the eye-sight ability of the every enlisted person minutely. And if necessary we arrange spectacles to distribute the poverty stricken patients free of cost.

Besides, we inspire the people to sacrifice their bodies after death so that a man may be cure to welcome the spring in his life. In this great sacrificial act we get help from many clubs in our area. It is our foremost duty to make men conscious of the great duty as we know that ‘a great achievement is born of a great sacrifice’. So we wait for the winter when the camp is organized. In organizing the medical camp and getting the blessings of the distressed people we feel that though we have not done any great work in our life these voluntary acts might enable the next generation to inspire into high ideals for creating a better social order free from social injustice, caste prejudice, inequality etc.

Awareness Program

To cure the society from its socio - religious malaria we feel the urgency of organizing awareness program which inject the sleeping conscience of mankind. The peripatetic enthusiasm of the young members to grapple for the society is the main attention in our institution. In our society there exist so many kinds of problems which must be wiped-out at once. Otherwise, the chariot wheels of progress will be stopped. So, it is our moral duty to clean the mud like social stigma in order to keep active the social structure. Some awareness programs on pollution control, Health hazards, Forestation and against superstitions are arranged by the helping hands of the members.

As we know that ‘cleanness is next to godliness’ we are trying to clean the locality so that any kind of dangerous disease may not spread to stop the generative force of the civilization. In every week on Sundays we, gather in front of our locality and also inspire the other youths who have not directly any relationship with our institution. Tree plantation is also the ‘alpha and omega’ of our institution. It is known to all that a tree can make one man alive. Throughout the year, especially in the rainy season we plant innumerable trees to keep the balance of atmosphere well. In this work we get help from the local youths also and they take care to the growth of the trees. We also forbade people to cut the trees carelessly. In this operation more money is needed in order to buy saplings, fertilizer and the material for fence. Besides, superstition is a burning problem which has been creating a snag for the progress. There are so many kinds of superstitions which creates many hazards in a democratic country like India. So, we, the members, have been trying to make Rajbalhat and its adjacent areas a superstition free society by our advises which we deliver into the crowd gathering the people in a meeting.
